CalFresh beneficiaries who are eligible to match up to $10 of EBT funds purchased on each participating market from June 1st through November 20th or until the funds run out, participants could be receiving up to $30 in tokens on a weekly basis.
“The previous year, our Market Match program provided all our beneficiaries with an extra $38,249 in tokens to help them buy healthy foods and start growing gardens, while maintaining more than $76,498 of local EBT funds that are destined for our farmers,” said Kristin Plante, who is the manager of the Nevada County social services program.
This year 2024 the County of Nevada is proud to partner with Sierra Harvest to provide this valuable service to CalFresh beneficiaries. Three farmers markets are participating in the Market Match program this year.
