Each month in Texas, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP benefits) beneficiary households receive their benefits on a staggered basis depending on the date they were certified and their Eligibility Determination Group number (EDG). The payment dates are designed to ensure that all households receive benefits when due, without delays or setbacks.
There are two groups of SNAP benefits processing dates in the state of Texas: those that were certified before June 1, 2020, and those that were certified after that date. Depending on the EDG number, those in the first group receive their payments between the 1st and 15th of each month, while the others, certified after the aforementioned date, receive their deposits between the 16th and 28th of each month.

Last Month of SNAP Payments Before COLA 2025 Increase
As we have said on other occasions, benefit payments are subject to the increased cost of living adjustment (COLA), a calculation made by federal agencies based on the consumer price index (CPI-W) for the last year. The idea is that both SNAP allocations and Social Security benefits maintain their purchasing power in the face of increased prices of products and services.
Until September 30, 2024, these are the maximum amounts to be paid for each beneficiary household, according to the size in number of people:
