Florida EBT Payments: When Will Your SNAP Benefits Arrive?

Residents in the sunny southern state are already anxiously awaiting the payment of their SNAP benefits for the month of May, although some groups of beneficiaries are still missing to receive their payments in April. In Florida, food stamps are payable between the 1st and the 28th of each month.

In Florida, the allocation of food stamp benefits is based on the 9th and 8th digits of your case number. To determine these digits, you need to read them backwards, starting with the ninth digit, and then the eighth. For example, if your case number ends in 123-456-789, the digits 9 and 8 would be 98. Although it may sound confusing, this is how it works in Florida and beneficiaries are already used to it.

Last Week for April’s SNAP Benefits in Florida

Some groups of beneficiaries still have payments to receive on their EBT cards, and we tell you below who are on the list to be the next in the last payment week of April:

Remember that the SNAP Benefits allow you to buy a variety of essential foods. This includes fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, dairy products, bread, cereals, as well as other foods such as snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Beneficiaries can also purchase seeds and plants to produce food at home.

SNAP benefits cannot be used to purchase certain products and items. This includes alcohol, tobacco, vitamins, medicines, supplements, foods prepared for immediate consumption, hot foods, pet food, cleaning products, hygiene items and cosmetics. These restrictions ensure that SNAP benefits are used exclusively for food and healthy eating staples.

Each case is unique, and should be evaluated by officers from your local SNAP office. These are the maximum values, according to the size of the household, valid until September 30, 2024:
