SNAP benefits are calculated based on household size and gross monthly income. Beginning October 1, 2023, the maximum monthly allocation amounts are as follows:
- 1 person: $291
- 2 people: $535
- 3 people: $766
- 4 people: $973
- 5 people: $1,155
- 6 people: $1,386
- 7 people: $1,532
- 8 people: $1,751
- For each additional member: $219
Income Limits Applying in 2024
There are also income limits that households must meet to qualify as SNAP recipients. This means that the payments of these allocations are specifically intended for those households with the lowest incomes.
