While certain recipients of SNAP benefits, formerly known as food stamps, in states such as Alaska, Vermont, Rhode Island or North Dakota are thinking about their coupons that expire on September 1, others have not even received their payment for the month of August.

Verifying Eligibility for SNAP Benefits in Florida
To be eligible for the August 28 payment, if you are a SNAP recipient in Florida, you must know the 9th and 8th digits of your case number. As you may have guessed, it is read backwards and you must omit the tenth digit.
Those receiving Food Stamps on August 28 in Florida must have “Case Number 9th and 8th digit: 96-99 = benefits available on the 28th.” That’s what the USDA outlined in the monthly issuance schedule for all states:
- If the 8th and 9th digits of your case number are 75-78, Food Stamp benefits will be available on the 22nd.
- If the digits 8 and 9 are 79-81, benefits will be available on the 23rd.
- If the digits 8 and 9 are between 82 and 85, benefits will be available on the 24th.
- If the digits 8 and 9 are 86-88, benefits will be available on the 25th.
- If the digits 8 and 9 are 89-92, benefits will be available on the 26th.
- If the digits 8 and 9 are between 93 and 95, benefits will be available on the 27th.
- If the digits 8 and 9 are 96-99, SNAP benefits will be available on the 28th.
SNAP (Food Stamps) Payday Eligibility in Texas
The State of Texas uses the eligibility determination group number to assign Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program paydays to each recipient. Therefore, carefully verify your eligibility determination group number and validate where it ends so that you know your payment date:
- If your EDG number ends in 21-24, benefits will be available on the 22nd of the month
- Benefits are issued on the 23rd of each month for EDG numbers ending in 25-27 or 79-81.
- Benefits are available on the 24th of each month for EDG numbers ending in 28-31 or 82-85.
- EDG numbers ending in 32-34 or 86-88 will have benefits available on the 25th of each month.
- EDG numbers ending in 35-38 or 89-92 will have benefits available on the 26th of each month.
- EDG numbers ending in 39-41, 46-49 or 93-95 will have benefits available on the 27th of each month.
- EDG numbers ending in 42-45, 50-53 or 96-99 can access benefits on the 28th of each month.
