Typically, the SSA sends payments to SSDI disability insurance recipients on the second, third, and fourth Wednesday of each month, sharing dates with recipients of retirement benefits. Other individuals, such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients, or those receiving payments since before May 1997, have different dates.
The three January SSDI payments: What is your designated date?
Payments will be organized as follows: those beneficiaries who were born from the 1st to the 10th of any month, by this time of the month, have already received their payments on January 8th.
Recipients whose birthday falls between the 11th and the 20th had their funds sent on January 15th. Finally, those who were born between the 21st and the 31st will get their compensation on January 22nd.
By January 31st, beneficiaries receiving SSI payments will see an advance payment that is actually equal to February 1st. This is done because the SSA does not send payments on holidays or weekends, and they are advanced to the nearest business day.
What happens with the SSDI payments established for the month of February?
Regarding payments scheduled for February, the same guidelines will be followed as in January. Recipients will receive their payments on specific dates: February 12 for those born between 1 and 10, February 19 for those born between 11 and 20, and February 26 for those born between 21 and 31. February you will also see that the SSI payment is advanced to the 28th, because March 1st is a Saturday.
According to the SSA, the maximum SSDI payments will be around $1,530 per month for qualifying beneficiaries, after the 2025 cost of living adjustment (COLA) of 2.5% is applied. For those receiving SSI, the maximum payment per individual is $967, while for couples it is $1,450, and for essential helpers it is $484.
