Potential Maximum Food Stamps in Florida in April 2024
From October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024, the maximum monthly benefits of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are established in Florida according to the size of the household. These benefits are distributed as follows:
- For one-person households, the monthly maximum is $291
- For two-person households, the maximum is $535
- For three-person households, the maximum is $766
- For four-person households, the maximum is $973
- For five-person households, the maximum is $1,155
- For six-person households, the maximum is $1,386
- For seven-person households, the maximum is $1,532
- For eight-person households, the maximum is $1,751
- Each additional member receives $219
- The minimum allocation of $23 is established to ensure a basic level of food assistance.
Remember that food stamps can buy products such as: fresh or canned fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy products, breads and cereals, and others such as snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, you can buy seeds to grow food at home.
You can not buy: alcoholic beverages such as wine, beer or liquor, and also tobacco, vitamins, medicines, and supplements. If an item has a Supplement Facts label, it is considered a supplement and is not eligible to purchase with SNAP benefits.
It is also forbidden to buy live animals, ready-made meals for immediate consumption, pet food, cleaning supplements, paper products, hygiene products and cosmetics.
