As in the rest of the United States, Florida residents have access to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. This program, formerly known as food stamps, is funded with federal resources and is administered by each state according to its specific regulations.
In the case of Florida, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) makes payments in a staggered manner between the 1st and the 28th of each month. As of today, over 1.04 million families in The Sunshine State rely on food stamps to buy nutritious food for their members, and that’s why the payment schedule should be fulfilled by the state’s DCF in a timely manner.
