People who are Social Security beneficiaries, can expect to receive several payments in the last months of 2024, with an additional one for some in both the months of August and November. These checks are issued to people depending on the date they were born.
Those people who were born between the 1st and the 10th of any month receive their salary on the second Wednesday of the month. Those who were born between the 11th and the 20th receive the Social Security payment on the third Wednesday of the month. People born after the 20th receive their payment on the fourth Wednesday.
Other Dates in August
Exceptions include children and spouses who receive benefits based on the direct beneficiary’s work history, who receive the payment the same day it was received by the main beneficiary.
If someone applied for benefits before May 1, 1997; their Medicare benefits are paid for by the state in which they live; they receive a Supplemental Security Income payment; or they live outside the United States, they could also receive their payments on the 3rd of each month.
People who receive SSI payments for disability, age, or blindness should expect to receive them on the first of the month. When payments fall on a federal holiday or weekend, they will be issued on the day of the immediately preceding week.
