This month, there are two scheduled changes to the usual payment schedule: Recipients receive their amounts for the month a little earlier than usual, for those receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), payment will be made one day earlier than scheduled , on May 31, instead of June 1.
Why Does the SSA Arrange the Schedule Like This?

A double payment in the same month is unusual for Social Security beneficiaries outside of Christmas and New Year’s Day. Typically, twice-monthly SSI payments are only made once a year on holidays, such as in December 2023, when payments were made on December 1 for the respective month and then again on December 29 for the month of January, three days earlier than normal, this is due to the fact that January 1, New Year’s Day, is a national holiday.
Some applicants for retirement benefits will also receive their money a little earlier than usual in the calendar, the mid-month payment, which is made to all those people who have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month of the year. , they will be paid on Tuesday, June 18. Other Dates to Consider Regarding Social Security benefits
