The settlement also includes two subclasses, which differentiate class members based on whether the breach potentially affected their Social Security numbers.
Great Expressions, one of the largest dental clinic networks in the United States, with an extensive presence in numerous states, has positioned itself in the market as one of the largest chains of dental service clinics for all family members. While the company did not admit any wrongdoing, it agreed to pay $2.7 million to settle the data breach class action lawsuit and pay the plaintiffs a sum so that they are satisfied.

Some claimants may receive up to $5,000. Under the terms of the Great Expressions settlement, class group members may receive different payments depending on whether their Social Security number was compromised by the data breach. Those individuals whose Social Security numbers were accessed by unscrupulous people after the data breach can receive a refund of $500 in ordinary losses and up to $5,000 in extraordinary losses. Additionally, some may claim up to 2 hours of lost time, compensated at a rate of $20 per hour.
