Block and Cash App Investing claimed no fault or wrongdoing in the lawsuit, but agreed to the $15 million settlement, according to the settlement website.
Who Is Eligible for the CashApp Data Breach Settlement?
If you want to make a claim on the CashApp settlement, you first need to make sure you are eligible.

- Be a current or former CashApp customer (you do not need to continue using the service)

- Experienced fraudulent transactions between August 23, 2018 and August 20, 2024.

However, you will need to provide “third-party documentation” that links you to “a data security incident, unauthorized account event, or error resolution deficiency” with your Cash App or Cash App Investing account.”
