The Social Security Administration (SSA) generates a large number of checks to beneficiaries every month, and almost all payments go to retired workers and people with some disabilities, among the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) category, payments are distributed every Wednesday, depending on the exact birthday of those who have benefits.
Those who were born between the 1st and 10th of any month will receive their check on the second Wednesday of the month, recipients with a birthdate between the 11th and 20th of any month will receive their checks on the third Wednesday, and Born between the 21st and 31st of any month, they will receive their checks on the last Wednesday of the month, however, this schedule does not apply to workers who retired before May 1997, nor to beneficiaries of the SSI, since they receive their payments in the first days of each month.
Changes in the Social Security Payment Schedule in June
The checks will be sent earlier if the corresponding date, if it falls on a weekend or holiday, the Administration made an announcement of some changes in the payment schedule for the following month of June. The first change will mainly affect SSI beneficiaries, while the second will affect those born between the 11th and 20th of any month.
Although SSI recipients normally receive their payment at the beginning of each month, a change is made for the month of June because the regular payment date falls on a weekend.
